Canada 150 celebrations for 2017 are slated to be showcased throughout the year and boast a great line-up of events! Groups and organizations have been encouraged to make 2017 as a whole, a year-long celebration of all things Canadian!
To start things off the Mary C. Moore Library and Lacombe Tourism are participating in National Film Day on April 19th, showing two different Canadian films. These showings are free to the public and held at the Flatiron Museum in the afternoon and the Lacombe City Cinema in the evening.
Many other traditional events and festivals will also take place with additional Canada 150 events and themes this year.
Canada Day Celebrations for 2017 will be larger than ever with many County and Municipalities budgeting additional funding to support community events such as concerts and fireworks displays. See Lacombe Tourism for individual community schedules and the local newspapers for commemorative inserts.
Make sure and stop by the Flatiron Museum and pick up some Canada t-shirts, hats, and souvenirs!
