Kraay Family Farm is a local business in Lacombe that is located just west of town on Range Road 1. They started their farm and corn maze in 1999, from then on their farm has grown. In 2012 the farm won a Guinness World Record for the Largest Corn Maze at 29 Thousand m². They now have over 34 activities to do and see at their farm including; jumping pillows, a grain train, pig races, miniature golf, Stalk car Raceway, pumpkin cannon, gemstone mining, giant games and of course the corn maze with 3 phases. Some of the activities do cost additional tokens which can be purchased on site. These extra activities include; the grain train corn/ pumpkin blaster, Hi Striker and Shootout at the Oak Corral.
This year the corn maze is in celebration of 50 years of “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown”. This year the corn is almost 10 ft tall, so it will be easy from everyone both big and small to get lost in the corn. But don’t worry if you remember to grab your passport you can find numbers in the maze and if you get the answer to the question correct then you have a little extra help finding your way out of the maze!
Kraay Family Farm is open from end pf July until the end of October. The best time to go to the maze is in August as it is still the warm weather and the corn is at its tallest. They also have rentals on the farm so you can make the most of your time there, for the little ones they have wagons so they can ride when they get tired from running through the maze. They also have tent rentals which includes 3 picnic tables, and 1 serving table, and BBQ rentals which include the propane and utensils. This is great for birthday parties, or a great day activity for family gatherings. There are also multiple places on site where you can buy food, drinks, snacks and even souvenirs and gifts.
With great prices Kraay family farm is not only hours of entertainment and fun it is also very affordable. For the full list of hours and prices go to www.kraayfamilyfarm.com
