Join the Lacombe & District Historical Society for an old time Garden Tea Party at the Michener House Museum and Archives at 5036 51 Street. Enjoy live music by Dixie Express, delicious treats and teas. This event is free to the public.

Stop by the gift shop tent and purchase your own copy of the Lacombe history book – a beautiful hardcover book written by Howard Fredeen or a Canada themed t-shirt in

celebration of the day ($).

COLOUR GUARD MARCH

The City of Lacombe in partnership with the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #79 (Lacombe) invite everyone to Celebrate Canada Day by coming out for the Color Guard March starting at 11:30am at the Lacombe Memorial Centre parking lot (5214-50 Ave) and ending at the Lacombe Legion (5138-49 St). The Colour Guard March led by the Red Deer Pipe Band, will include Legion members and guests from the City Police, Lacombe Fire-fighters, and Local EMS.

FLAG RAISING @ LACOMBE LEGION

The Flag Raising Ceremony is scheduled following the Colour March at the Legion Hall, with the Lacombe Lions Band playing O’ Canada.   Everyone is encouraged to join in singing our national anthem and stay for Canada Day Birthday Cake. This year there will be a dedication of the Howitzer artillery piece at the  Legion. Also new is raffle draws with $1,000 in cash prizes!

 

Will Start Following Flag Raising Ceremony and go until 3:00pm

BBQ @ LACOMBE LEGION

Get a  burger/hotdog, chips & pop for $5. Everyone is welcome. The lounge will also be open from 11:30am-3:00pm serving cool refreshments.

6:30pm   Singing of “Oh Canada”, Reaffirmation Ceremony, Singing of God  Save the Queen”
