The Village of Alix is located in the heart of Central Alberta’s Parkland 45km east of Hwy 2 on Highway 12. The Village has an abundance of recreational activities for all seasons.
In the summer season enjoy Alix’s Campground at the Alix Lake, which is also ideal for various water sports, and is surrounded by the 6.3 km Alix Nature Trail, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
In the winter we have our arena and a new toboggan hill, as well as the lake, is great for cross country skiing. Just minutes away is Haunted Lakes Golf Course, this features a 9 hole grass greens course.
Alix has many amenities such as a skate board park, new playgrounds, community hall, drop-in senior center; drop-in youth center, public library, museum and Ag grounds.
