Pony rides and petting zoo are just the start of the fun at Flying Cross Ranch! Join us for family entertainment, livestock and old fashion country fun!
Kids Discovery Farm – Let your kids be a farmer for a day with fun activities such as cow milking, collecting eggs, harvesting the garden & rounding up the pigs!
Petting Zoo – Flying Cross Ranch is home to a wide variety of animals for you to interact with, even some babies! Horses, ponies, cows(calves), chickens, ducks, rabbits, llama, pigs, goats & more!
Pony Rides – Come meet Duke & Socks and go for a ride.
Horse Rides – Take a ride around the track on one of our amazing lesson horses, fun for older kids and adults
Round Pen Demo – Watch as Roy demonstrates how he works colts in the round pen. Even if you never plan on training your own horse it is fascinating watching the communication between horse and trainer….1:00pm
Jumping Demo – Watch Taylor jump her pony Pepsi and then try out our jump course on foot and see how fast you can go….. 2:00pm
Talk Derby To Me- Did you know that Red Pollard the jockey who rode “Seabiscuit” was born in Edmonton. There is some very interesting history on horse racing in Canada. Meet one of our junior jockeys and ask her about our murder mystery night at the races! Check out our racing demo and find out more about this fun annual event.
Chicken Display – Did you know that 1 chicken can lay up to 365 eggs a year. We have 10 chickens now thats a lot of eggs!
Branding – Learn the history of branding and why it is still important today. Take home your own brand!
Cattle Display – Flying Cross Ranch raises Corriente cattle. They are raised as sport cattle for team roping.
Feed Display – Not sure the difference between hay or straw. Impress your horsey friends at your next get together with all your new found knowledge on what horses eat!
From QE2 exit east on 431, then go across Hwy 2A and the railroad tracks. Go 1 km east on Milton Road and take your first left on RR 26-3. Go 1 km north to 41129 on the east side.
